This course will focus on the identification of vascular plant species with an emphasis on wetlands, riparian areas, and transition areas. The course is designed for consultants, regulators, special interest groups, and naturalists. The instructor will stress field techniques to facilitate the recognition and identification of common plant species. Students will be provided with a selected list of plants of the area, loupe (magnifying glass), and certificate of completion. Knowledge of basic plant taxonomy is preferred but not required.
