The USACE has implemented multiple Regional Supplements of the 1987 Delineation Manual, and more are expected in the near future. The Regional Supplements are being implemented on a one-year interim basis for each region. These Regional Supplements include a multitude of changes for the field indicators for soils, vegetation, and hydrology and a revised wetland data form. Participants will learn the “new” field indicators for soils and hydrology, as well as the protocol for collecting data for the vegetation portion of the revised data sheet. This course is designed for experienced wetland delineators and is split 50/50 in the classroom/field. Participants will be provided with a reference manual (class notes, references, and respective Regional Supplement), regional plant list, and NRCS Field Indicators of Hydric Soils (version 6.0) and certificate of completion.
